Description:The Swiss Cottage or Harper's Cottage at Alton Towers. Designed by Thomas Fradgley, it was occupied by an old retainer playing a harp for the entertainment of the Earl's visitors. The gardens were created by the 15th Earl of Shrewsbury between about 1810 and 1827.
