Description:View from the south-west of the Chapel Tower at Alton Towers. The Chapel (on the right of the tower) and its tall slim tower was designed by Thomas Fradgley and Joseph Potter and completed by 1833, but the interior was remodelled or completed by A.W.N. Pugin after 1839. Alton Towers was the home of the Talbot family, Earls of Shrewsbury. It was built between about 1810 and 1852.
