Description:This photograph shows an industrious corner of the Staffordshire General Infirmary’s Occupational Health department, also known as the “O.T.” room. Patients learned weaving and many other crafts, to exercise muscles and keep themselves occupied. Instructing a young patient in the art of rug-weaving, on the left is Miss J E Denning, who was in charge of the department.
