Description:A winter view taken from near the top of the Forest Park looking towards Hanley.

The spoil tips of Hanley Deep Pit coal mine were landscaped to form part of Central Forest Park. Hanley Deep Pit closed in 1962 and work to reclaim the 80 acre site for recreational use began in 1969.
