Description:A postcard of a 'waterwheel', actually a wind powered water pump, and Mow Cop Castle. The Castle is a folly built on the highest point of the gritstone ridge which marks the border between Staffordshire and Cheshire. It was built as an eyecatcher in 1754 by Randle Wilbraham of nearby Rode Hall.
