Description:Tennis being played on two grass courts next to the formal gardens which stood on the eastern side of Darlaston Hall, near Stone. At the time of this photograph the Hall belonged to the Meakin family, pottery manufacturers, who purchased Darlaston Hall from the Jervis family in 1880. The Hall remained in the Meakin family up to 1951. The hall has since been demolished and a bungalow now occupies the site.
