Description:This is a view from Greenway Hall Road. In the foreground are the nurseries of A.P. Matthews with the 1920's bungalows along one side of Nursery Avenue leading up towards the new houses which were built in the early 1960's.

In the centre are the waste tips of Norton Colliery (right) and Sneyd Colliery (left). Just to the left of Sneyd tip (between the telephone wires) is the A53 Leek New Road at Holden Bridge.
