Description:Edward Littleton built and endowed a new school in the churchyard of St. Michael's Church, Penkridge by 1818. In 1831 the pupils and endowment were transferred to the new National School built on the Market Place (now School Square).

Copper alloy token, Mr Littleton's School, Penkridge.
Obverse: 'MR. LITTLETON'S SCHOOL PENKRIDGE, 1820'.
Reverse: Emblems adopted by the Hatherton family - stag's head and antlers surmounted by crescent hunting horn.
