Description:A group of men standing outside the Beehive Inn, Castle Street, Eccleshall. The man standing in the doorway is probably the landlord, Robert Thomas Morris.

In 1978 the Beehive was refurbished and reopened as a restaurant, 'La Corbiere'. The restaurant later traded as and Julian's and then Jaflon Pinks before returning to being a pub in 2012. The pub is now known as the Old Smithy (2017), having expanded into the former blacksmith's premises which occupied buildings to the left of this photograph.
