Description:The disused Silverdale Railway Station building. The station was opened by the North Staffordshire Railway Company in 1863 and closed to passengers in 1964. It continued to be used for a number of years to service Silverdale Colliery. Photograph taken by a member of the Silverdale Community Play Association. A replica of the Silverdale Station building has been built at Apedale Heritage Centre as part of the Apedale Light Railway.
