Description:The southern entrance to Harecastle Telford tunnel, showing the fan house (built 1954) at the tunnel portal. the fan house ventilated the tunnel allowing internal combustion engines to be used instead of the earlier electrical tug system. There is a pleasure boat and two working narrowboats moored near the tunnel entrance.
