Description:Cheddleton station goods yard on the Churnet Valley Line. The steam locomotive on the left, number 44422, was built in 1927 and scrapped by British Rail in 1965. In 1977 It was rescued from a scrap yard in Barry Island by the North Staffs Railway Society for restoration and was later put back into service in 1990. The site of this goods yard is now occupied by an engine shed and signal box.
