Description:A sales assistant is pictured along with several customers at the meat counter within Key Markets Supermarket in the Sheridan Centre which was developed in the 1970s. In later years the centre was partly demolished and given a £5 million redevelopment which officially re-opened as Gaolgate Place in 2003. Subsequently the Key Markets building was sub-divided and occupied in one part by Argos (a catalogue retailer) and in the other part by Iceland Foods Ltd (specialising in frozen foods). These two retailers continue to be there in September 2016. This photograph was taken by Stafford photographer Tony Boydon.
