He is about to change a thyristor in a module from one of the levels of a thyristor valve which was undergoing tests. On completion the thyristor valve was destined to be part of the Manitoba Hydro, Nelson River Project at the Radisson Converter Power Station and the Dorsey Converter Power Station in Canada.
