Description:This view captures the scene during the presentation of a Cup at the 1969 Uttoxeter Christmas sale, show and livestock market. In addition to the Cup, the prize winner received a case of Ind Coope canned beer. Mrs Norah Boden, landlady of the White Hart, is presenting the cup to Ernie Wardle. The Auctioneer, Basil Sutton, is on the far right, wearing a white coat.

The livestock market closed in 2001 at the time of the Foot and Mouth outbreak, and the buildings were demolished in 2006 and the site redeveloped.
