Born in Waterfall, she married Josiah Knight (c.1836-c.1891), a Milwich farmer, at Sandon in 1877. She then married George Coupe (1860-1941), also from Waterfall and first cousin, at Stowe by Chartley in 1897, at which time Catherine was living at Milwich Hall. Ellen Elizabeth 'Nell' Knight was Catherine's daughter by her first marriage. She was therefore George Coupe's step daughter and niece. May Vernon (born 1874) was the daughter of Sandon farmer Joseph Vernon and Sarah Ellen Knight. She was Catherine's niece by marriage. Jack is presumed to be John Edward Knight (biorn 1888), brother of Nell, who was head of household at Milwich Hall in 1911.
