Description:The parish church of Trysull is 12th century in origin, but only fragments of the building remain from this date. Major improvements were made during the 13th, 14th, 15th centuries, including an enlargement in the Norman style in 1844.
The church was later restored in 1889. Also, in 1897, the tower was restored and a new porch built by F.W. Simon of Edinburgh.
