Description:Wedding of Edward Shemilt and Ethel Martin. Ethel was the sister of Wilmot Martin, who was known locally as 'Staffordshire's Harry Lauder' because of his charity fund raising concerts, where he impersonated the popular Scottish comedian and singer Sir Harry Lauder.

From left to right the adults are: Mortimer Brown (best man), John Bradbury, Mrs Annie Bradbury, Edward Shemilt, Ethel Martin, Sarah Martin (bride's mother), John Martin (bride's father), Annie Shemilt. There was some uncertainty about the four young bridesmaids, but they are now thought to be: Doris Nellie Martin, Phyllis Martin. Eva Nellie Martin, Vera Annice Malabar.
