Description:A postcard view of Lightoaks, a large mid-19th century house which stands on the B5417, Cheadle Road near to Oakamoor. Lightoaks is a Grade II listed house built for the owner of the nearby copper works at the time, John Wilson Patten. It was heavily altered when the Bolton family acquired it in 1895 and almost doubled in size. A covered arcade leads to a large greenhouse, which is also Grade II listed.
