Description:Ravenhill Farm was situated on the opposite side of the road to Ravenhill House. Note the little boy on the horse's back in this group of farm workers, boys and working horses. This photo was given to Harry Thornton by Harry Woolaston whose father Bob had rented the farm. In the centre, wearing a bowler hat, is Jack Woollaston who occupied the farm at the time. The boys to his right are his sons, Sidney and Joseph Woollaston. Holding the reins of the horse Jack's left is Robert Woollaston. On the extreme right is Mr Leek.

The Lichfield Mercury of 20th August 1948 carried an advertisement indicating that various properties owned by Brereton Collieries Ltd and Birchenwood Brick & Tile Ltd were to be auctioned. Amongst them was Lot 7: "The Valuable HOLDING with extensive Buildings, and frontages to the Main Lichfield Road and Redbrook Lane, in the village of Brereton known as RAVENHILL FARM comprising an are of 38 Acres 2 Roods and 29 Perches or thereabouts. Let to Messrs. W. & H. Keenahan on a yearly tenancy.".
