Description:On the right is St. John's Church, formerly the Congregational Church, built in 1871 to a design by George Bidlake. On 7 March 1886 the interior was destroyed by fire. The church was rebuilt and is now St. John's Methodist Reformed Church. The church closed in 2012, with the final service taking place on 26th August.

On the left is the Bridge Inn which became Langtry's in the early 1980s.
