Description:Howard Hall camp was built at the beginning of the Second World War to house War Workers from the Royal Ordinance factory at Swynnerton. When the Americans came into the war in 1941, the camp was handed over to the American Army Airforce until the war ended.

After the war the camp was bought by the Post Office and used as a technicians' training school.

These huts were demolished and replaced by modern buildings. British Telecom was running the centre in 2000.
