Description:View looking down Station Road towards St. Dominic's Convent from the junction with Northesk Street.

St. Dominic's convent, church and priory school, opened in May 1854. St. Dominic's was founded by Mother Margaret Hallahan of the Dominican Order.

In the convent grounds is a small chapel dedicated to St. Anne, opened and blessed by Father Dominic Barberi in 1844. The chapel was used as a girls' school from 1857, until a new school was built on Newcastle Street.
