Description:A Stafford Cricket Club group pictured outside the pavilion at the Hough.

Stafford Cricket Club was formed in April 1864, although a town club had been in existance as early as 1847. The club initially played at Lammascotes, but in 1890 moved to the Hough on Lichfield Road. Here it remained until 1984 when Stafford Cricket and Hockey Club moved to new grounds on Riverway.
