Description:The full choir was was assembled for this photograph, a much larger group than a typical Sunday turnout. They are pictured in the church nave before the altar step. It was a wholly male choir which met on Friday evenings for practice. They accompanied the congregation at the Sunday morning Communion and Evensong services.

The choir was not musically schooled; hymn books showing the relative positions of notes and their length were used but hymns were mainly learned by rote through practice.

Back row (left to right): George Brewer (Choir master), John Stringer, Tommy Cross, Colin Harding, Ian Wild (Crucifer), Freddy Lane, Tommy Hammersley, Ken Harvey, Bruce Walker.

Front row: John Mifflin, Bob Richardson, Phillip Ponder, David Mitchell (seated), Michael Setterfield, Leslie Lane, Colin Cross, Fr Ronald Cason, Garry Wood, Barry Southwell, John Bennett, Billy Esperey, Geoff Walker (seated), Graham Malcom, Terry Ensor, Ronny Lane.
