French embroidered souvenir postcard

Date:1918

Description:A souvenir postcard sent by May Blankley from France to her sister in Tutbury. May served in the Women's Auxiliary Army Corps during World War I. This card was sent on 29 December 1918.

On back is a pencilled message reading:
"Dear Grace I recieved mother's lovely parcel yesterday. Everything inside was beautiful, nothing was smashed. I have enquired about my leave and have been promised it as soon as possible will write again tomorrow Claude has been with me all xmas with love May".
