Description:The Tennis Club formed part of the Social & Athletic Association (Social Club) at English Electric Co., Stafford. This photograph shows the tennis courts and the club buildings at Stychfields, adjacent to the Lichfield Road Factory.

Many local companies encouraged their workers to participate in sports and social activities. The English Electric Co. had a very strong sports and social club with sports grounds next to the works and at Riverway, near Lichfield Road.
