Description:A handful of red-necked or Bennett's wallabies escaped from a private zoo at Roaches House during World War II. The zoo was owned by Lt.Col H.C. Brocklehurst who lost his life during the war. These few bred and the population increased over the years. One or two survived into the 2000s, but there have been no sightings since 2009.

This individual had been menaced by a dog and remained in this field near Swythamley for several days.
