Description:Woodcroft stood on Newcastle Road but has since been demolished and is now the site of a housing estate. Woodcroft was built in 1893 for Henry George Carr, a draper with a shop in Leek. Carr sold it to silk manufacturer Henry Davenport was then extended (on the right hand side of the building as you look at the photograph).
