Description:Joseph Joseph and Lillian Alice Chilton with son Reginald Joseph Chilton in about 1917. Joseph was working on the Sandon Estate at the time he signed up to serve with the Royal Field Artillery during the First World War. After the war, he worked as a gardener on the Shugborough Estate. Lillian died at the age of 34 years. Joseph later re-married and he and his second wife both went to work at Trent Hospital in Stone, and both ended their days there.
