The card was posted in Stafford on 6 August 1907 to an address in Walsall.

Funds were raised by public subscription to build a memorial hospital to Dorothy Pattison, or Sister Dora, who was famous for her work nursing the poor in a hospital in Walsall.

The Sister Dora Convalescent Hospital was opened by the Bishop of Lichfield on 19 April 1884 at Milford. The hospital was intended primarily for Walsall patients, had sixteen beds, and was open for only eight months of the year.

It is now used as a rest home for the elderly.
