Description:The original Hixon Stores at South View, Bath Lane, were run by Mr Hammond. His car, a Talbot, was used for deliveries and can be seen in the centre.

In the background can be seen Laundry Cottage on Smithy Lane, so named because the inhabitants used to take in laundry from Broadmore and Chartley Halls.
