Description:Built in about 1849, this railway crossing gatekeeper's cottage was built in typical North Staffordshire Railway 'Tudorbethan' style. It is Grade II listed.

Josie Bentley was the last crossing keeper when it closed in the early 1990s, and it has stood empty since 1998. Ken Bentley was the last station master at Stone railway station.
