Description:Stone Cricket Club, pictured on their Lichfield Road ground in 1913. The present club was formed in 1888.

Bernard Meakin, a member of the Meakin pottery family, lived at Darlaston Hall and was captain of Staffordshire County Cricket Club 1911-1912. Ernest James Johnson was Managing Director of Johnson Brothers pottery and was knighted in 1937 for political and public services in Staffordshire.
