Description:Stone Town Hall decorated for the Silver Jubilee celebrations of King George V, June 1935.

The Town Hall was built on the High Street in 1870 at a cost of £2,500, and from 1912 also served as the town's cinema. Advertised in this photograph are 'Freedom of the Seas' and 'The Return of Bulldog Drummond'. It was demolished in the late 1970s and the site is now occupied by shops.
