Description:A view of Barnfields old house. Barnfields was built by John Twigg in the late eighteenth-century. Some of the stonework was said to have come from Baswich Church when it was rebuilt in the 1740s. The large stone barn dates from the sixteenth century.

The house was demolished to make way for a Kwik Save supermarket (in 2012 the Cooperative Supermarket) on Wildwood housing estate in the 1970s.
