Description:The Roebuck Inn, on Stafford Road, Cannock. The building has since been rebuilt and now has a Mock Tudor gable at the front, but is still open as a public house (2022).

In 1889 William Blencowe & Co. Ltd. merged with the Cannock Brewery acquiring the business of Cotterell and Scattergood. The Blencowe Cannock Brewery was the largest of three in the town at the time. The brewing business with its 32 tied houses was sold in 1925 to Butlers of Wolverhampton.

Lt. Col. Frank Huband of the Staffordshire Regiment and his wife Mabel managed this pub for many years including during the 2nd World War, when the cellar was used as a bomb shelter by family and neighbours. Frank and Mabel Huband continued running the Roebuck until Frank's death in 1965.
