Description:There were no provisions for educating girls at Trentham. The 2nd Duchess of Sutherland converted this pair of cottages into a Girls' and Infants' Schoolroom in about 1841. The school closed in 1863 and the buildings were used by the North Staffordshire Hunt, which had moved its base from Wolstanton to Trentham the previous year.
