Date:1890 - 1910 (c.)

Description:The tunnel opened in 1848 to accommodate the North Staffordshire Railway line between Kidsgrove & Tunstall. The tunnel is 1766 yards long and was closed in 1965 to make way for the new tunnel built to accommodate the electrification of the rail network.
