Description:5th Battalion North Staffordshire Regiment 'D' Company, 16th Platoon at their headquarters on Newcastle Road, Stone.

An informal group. Seated 2nd from left is Dickinson. Harry Evans is seated 3rd from right. Standing third from left is Harry Lugg, who was later interned as a Japanese prisoner of War during the Second World War.
