Description:George Lyttelton, 1st Baron Lyttelton of Frankley (1709-1773)was a politician, historian and patron of the arts, being a friend and supporter of the poet Alexander Pope and the author Henry Fielding. He was Member of Parliament for Okehampton 1735-1756 and Chancellor of the Exchequer 1755-1756. He died at his home at Hagley Park, Worcestershire.
