Description:Pupils making a presentation at the retirement of Manor Hill County Primary School's headmistress, Miss Dorothy D. Riley, due to ill health. Stella Thornton presented a glass-fronted corner cupboard, Head Boy Michael Latham presented her with a pottery plant holder on behalf of the prefects, Head Girl Denise Sandford gave a vase containing a single rose, and bouquets were presented by Elaine Cartledge and Martin Pick. The staff presented her with a 'Pied Piper' Doulton figure and a set of liqueur glasses.
