Description:Oil painting. Half-length portrait of Francis Elliott Kitchener, M.A., J.P. (1838-1915). Alderman of Staffordshire County Council, Chairman of the Technical Instruction Committee 1895-1903 and Chairman of the Education Committee 1903-1905 and 1909-1912.

Born Newmarket, Suffolk, he was the first headmaster of Newcastle-under-Lyme Grammar School 1875-1891 and lived at Oulton Old Hall, near Stone. He is pictured in his Master of Arts robes.
