Description:Constance Smith behind the bar at The Miner's Arms in Mellor Street, Packmoor, around the late 1950s.

Part of Packmoor medical centre grounds now occupy the space where this pub once stood.

The bar area was saved when the pub was demolished in the early 1980s and it is now part of the permanent local history display at The Potteries Museum & Art Gallery.

Local residents have long claimed that this was the bar in the museum. This photograph is one of a series of images that would seem to confirm those claims.

The image was supplied by Mrs. Smith's grandson John Smith.
