Description:H.T. Cartwright's end of terrace grocer's shop on Talbot Road, Brereton. This row of houses was known locally as 'The Barracks'. They were built by the Earl of Shrewsbury (hence the use of the Talbot name) near to his Coppice Colliery and brickworks, as accommodation for his workers. They were demolished in the 1960s. In later years the shop was run by the Fisher family.
