New flag pole at Etching Hill, Rugeley

Date:17th of August 1963

Description:The newly erected flag pole with Union flag surmounting the hill at Etching Hill, near Rugeley, was installed by members of Etching Hill Athletic Football Club.

In this group are: back row, immediately in front of flag pole (left to right): Bobby Done, Peter (Bernie) Baker is partially visible, Malcom Campbell (in white), Pete Bull, Alan Jones, Alan Taylor, Dennis Lea, unknown, unknown, unknown. To the left of the flag pole from Bobby Done are: Roddy Taylor, Phillip Lea, Gerald Williscroft, Harry Evans, Bruce Walker, Harvey snr, Harvey?. The lad crouched in front of Gerald Williscroft is thought to be Dave Harley. Players at front seated on rock: Terry Harvey, Micky Morris, John Hyden, Chris Holland.
