Description:Children and teachers moving furniture and boxes out of St. Mary's School, prior to modernisation in 1966. The whole school moved to Colwich School during the building work.

St. Mary's School was built in 1862 on a site given by the owner of Colton Manor and funded by the Webb Trust. Although altered and extended, the village school remains in the same building.
