Description:This photograph taken in 1905 from the Ironmarket in Newcastle-under-Lyme shows the exterior of a shop called Croydons on the corner of Lad Lane and the Ironmarket. The picture captures Croydon's closing down sale, signs in the shop windows clearly read 'Selling Up - No Fair Offer Refused'. The shop later became Burton's selling men's fashion until around 2010. It then became Cafe Nero.
