Description:Oil painting on board of Longton Police Station, Sutherland Road, Longton, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire. Glover's brewery was on this Sutherland Road site originally, until Joules of Stone bought them out in 1903. The police purchased the brewery from Joules, demolished it, and built this building. Longton Police Station opened in 1906 and remained until it was demolished in 1992. A new purpose built police station was built on the same site.

An oil painting by C.W. Sheldon, formerly in the collections of the Staffordshire Police Museum, now part of the Staffordshire County Museum collection.
