Description:Portrait of The Hon. Mary Anne Jervis (Lady Forester), aged 18, daughter of Edward Jervis Jervis, Viscount St. Vincent. Oil on canvas. She is seated at a writing desk with a scroll in her left hand. White and brown gown with bejewelled belt and clasps on sleeves. Inks and quill on desk. In left background are drapes and a rural landscape. Wooden gilt frame. A copy painted by John Scott (1802-1885) from an original painting by J.G. Middleton.
